I'm going to make them this weekend. If they turn out how I remember them, I'll post the recipe! Now, my mom also has a recipe for lime meltaways, which are different. Yes, more like shortbread but you make a log and cut it into thin slices, bake, and toss in powdered sugar. Very good too, but I don't think I have that recipe, my mom does.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6058212.post-54744065682851068102009-07-29T16:54:33.398-05:002009-07-29T16:54:33.398-05:00Danielle, the cookies were a bust. I have a new recipe for orange chip cookies that I think (I hope) will be more in line with what I've got in my head. I was at a potluck a few weeks ago where someone had brought white chocolate chip cookies with a hint of citrus flavor and they were YUMMY...I won't confess how many I ate :) No idea who made them, though, so I couldn't get the recipe. These key lime ones were definitely NOT close. The texture was like shortbread.

I haven't even gotten to the "good part" of The Shack--where he actually encounters God. I'm very curious, given the passionate reviews I've heard/read on both ends of the spectrum.

Zo and Sara, I'll look forward to seeing your "daybooks"!Amyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16877189592741668088noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6058212.post-7462902247808514502009-07-29T11:51:43.366-05:002009-07-29T11:51:43.366-05:00I'd be interested in your thoughts on the Shac...I'd be interested in your thoughts on the Shack. Those cookies sound good. I think I've made something similar in the past. As for mentoring, I've been having the same thoughts recently . . .Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6058212.post-53235047276575274232009-07-28T18:23:21.272-05:002009-07-28T18:23:21.272-05:00I like this one. Good for you.

I'll do this meme soon.
