Anyway, your posts are so fun. Just had to say I'm SO w/ you on the whole strawberry shortcake thing....best w/ Bisquick & milk and tons of strawberries. And you're right, sponge cake w/ goop is NOT strawberry shortcake!

Best wishes on your baby! I'll keep checking in. I'm a "johnny come lately" with the Bisquick shortbread, I used to be a pound cake kind of girl. And I still love me some good pound cake with strawberries and whipped topping but I've come to like the less sweet and bisquit-y texture of the Bisquick shortbread. I like to make the Bisquick shortbread, and serve it with the strawberries, some vanilla bean ice cream and a bit of whipped cream on top.

And I would totally eat for dinner, too!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6058212.post-61338342667548020412007-06-18T21:44:00.000-05:002007-06-18T21:44:00.000-05:00(I'm thankful that the Union flag is flying becaus...(I'm thankful that the Union flag is flying because otherwise the south would ruin all the good foods...that is.)Eric S.https://www.blogger.com/profile/07496657876411898329noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6058212.post-889446404752466752007-06-18T21:43:00.000-05:002007-06-18T21:43:00.000-05:00Yes! Your strawberry shortcake sounds good, although I must confess, I've never heard of it with milk. Usually I've had it served with whipped cream (the real stuff).Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
