A Southern Confession, Part II

Opinions were divided pretty evenly, so given my Netflix subscription and the pile of books already on my coffetable from Amazon, I decided to start with the movie.

Holy four hour movie, Batman. I kind of knew it was long, but 233 minutes?? My butt is still numb.

Not sure what I think. I'm not sure I found it as great as it is hyped up to be. What was with that ending? Am I the only one who found it somewhat...disappointing?

Yup...I agree. Don't have a clue why it was such a big deal. Scarlett got on my nerves. Stupid ending, though I would have loved the chance to wear one of her big-hoop skirted dresses just once.

Oh, and I almost forgot. Before sitting down to watch the movie with my parents as a teenager, my mother prepared me for the famous "Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn" line. To listen to her you would have thought I had never heard a swear word on television before. Apparently that "shocking" moment in silverscreen history made quite an impression on people.

LOL...Yeah...Scarlett is quite the annoying type, but did you like the movie at all?

Haha..at first I thought you were watching Batman..lol..then when I realized what movie you were talking about, I just laughed, I don't think I would have patience to watch the whole thing in one sitting. Good on ya for getting through a southern culture "must see"

I totally did not make it through the movie in one sitting. is that even possible? I watched the first disc one night and the second the next day.

I actually did sit through the whole movie one night. Don't plan on doing that again! =P I can't understand what all the hype is about over the movie. I will agree: Scarlett got on my nerves, too, and the ending kinda sucked (can say that?). Oh well... It's more of an icon than anything by now. =) The dresses were pretty!
