Old House Tip #47

Generally, if you can pierce your cast-iron drain pipe with the edge of a putty knife, that's a bad thing.











However, on the bright side, it does give you blog material.

Oh, not fun at all!

My parents live in a house built in the 1780s - with 6 fireplaces - and when it rains it's always a crapshoot as to which fireplace will have water coming through!

That being said, there's nothing like old houses for character and charm!
