I've been thinking a lot this week and last about "the peaceful transfer of power." We take it for granted. It struck me how peaceful it is when I saw Bush sitting right there close to, and applauding, his successor, with a crowd of what, 3 million?
I know, I hadn't thought much about it until I was watching the inauguration and someone (Dianne Feinstein?) mentioned it. When I stopped to consider it, I really was amazed and grateful.
I'm looking forward to getting to know you a little bit more through your blog. Going to take some time and read through the back posts!
Have a wonderful Monday! BTW--do you know Heather Lang? I saw her on your sidebar. I know her.
